Jem Cassar-Daley

The talents of indie-pop artist Jem Cassar-Daley have dazzled the Australian music scene since her debut in 2021.

Jem’s debut EP. I Don’t Know Who to Call is a devastatingly gorgeous collection of all of the singer-songwriter’s works to date. Featuring previous singles “Letting Go,” “Changes,” “Like it More” and “Oh No” which have quickly gained her notoriety and adoration.
The EP’s genesis is suitably wholesome and Jem thanks all those who helped make it possible. “This project is very close to my heart… It’s personal, raw and like a glimpse into my personal journal. It was also an EP that was only made possible with the help of my family and I am so fortunate to be surrounded by such supportive and inspiring people to pull it all together. The cover is a pastel drawing of my Grandma’s home drawn by her and my dad features on a few of the tracks and helped me to coproduce. I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it!”

Jem’s captivating performances, stellar vocals and timeless songwriting have earned her the Indigenous Award at the 2022 Queensland Music Awards, a debut headline Queensland tour, impressive Spotify and Apple editorial playlist support, nationwide press, and a spot on several festival line ups this year.

The young talent has come into her own as a contemporary artist, with a world class sound that is a unique combination drawing from favourites like Missy Higgins, Phoebe Bridgers, Angus and Julia Stone, and Carole King. As imagined, the result is a gorgeously diverse soundscape of soul, indie, pop grooves.

In her first year as a breakthrough solo artist, she became a finalist for the Smugglers of Light Foundation Music and Media Award 2022 and received the 2021 Australia Council of the Arts KickStart Grant.

Make sure you see this immeasurable new talent for yourself.
